Filmo is a series of 16 mm and 8 mm movie equipment made by the Bell & Howell Company. The line included cameras, projectors and accessories.

Founded more than a century ago in 1907, the Bell and Howell brand is globally renowned for its high-quality flashlight production. They have built a solid reputation as one of the best flashlight brands in production today.

Filmo 70-A series of 16mm motion picture cameras introduced in 1923 and lasting until 1979 when Bell&Howell sold the business.

The first Filmo camera was introduced shortly after the Cine Kodak and Victor 16mm cameras.  The Filmo is an excellent design that had previously appeared briefly as a 17 / 2mm camera.  A compact die-cast metal body encloses 100'film spools and a heavy spring drive motor.  It has a rugged version of the very successful Lumiere / Pathe film transport movement.
