We leaved in New York for 21 years. Traveling frequently in the East cost of the USA, I was “bitten” by the collecting “bug”. It all started on the way to Maine when we stopped at a Flea market at the side of the road (where we bought our first "antique") and ended years later with an oversize container filled with antiques that we took with us when we returned to Israel about 6 years ago.

 

We used to leave the house in New York on Friday afternoon traveling along Northeast USA and return on Sunday night with a van full with Antiques we picked up at Flea markets, Tag sales, Auctions and just about anywhere.

 

Collecting antiques is my passion and it is more than acquiring stuff.  Collecting for me becomes a creative enjoyment. I like this "old staff".  It gives me great pleasure to buy an old rusted Camera or a Gramophone which does not work, fix it and "show-off" with it.

 

And there is the social aspect of Antiques Collecting.   Collection antiques allowed me to meet some very nice and interesting people.
